Wilseyville Hare Scramble The morning race of the day was the Senior race. Our dad, Al has been riding quite a bit lately and decided to have some fun this weekend. It rained a little during the week and the conditions were perfect. Al was happy that the seniors got to race first when the course was still smooth. He had a good race and a good time finishing in fourth place in the Super Senior class. Dad was happy to have taken some time off of racing and was still right in the mix with all the others that he used to race with. Brian showed up for the start and noticed that everyone had chosen to line up on the outside of the first turn and try to rail around it. Brian went to the inside and had at least ten feet on each side of him. When the gun went off everyone went fast and wide around the first turn and Brian tiptoed around the inside with the holeshot. Brian opened up a good lead early and was loving getting to race Wilseyville again. He said that there were some really good hills on the course and some sections that were wide open in fourth on a off camber trail that led along the side of a hill. At the gas Brian pulled into the pits but had just lapped Troy who was also racing along with pit duties. Since Brian had a good lead he took his time getting gas and goggles. When he pulled back out Rob Zimmerman and Tim Stowe were there so he had some fun getting around them and pulled out another lead to take the win. Zimmerman followed in second, Brian Spearle third, then Time Stowe and Craig Wesner. Troy had a good time in his first race in a year, although he said he had too bad of arm pump to be able to ride for most of the race. Congratulations to Rob Zimmerman for cinching his second consecutive D-36 Hare Scrambles Championship!
