Rausch Creek GNCC

The Rausch Creek GNCC is one of the riders favorites.  It has more field sections than most of the GNCC races along with some rocky terrain, some muddy rutted sections and a few good mud holes to keep things interesting.  Brian got off to a strong start in this one and was right in the lead pack, crossing the line in sixth after the first lap.  Fred Andrews was at the head of the field making a push trying to get away from the pack.  As the race developed Rodney Smith, Barry Hawk, and Jason Raines emerged as the riders battling for the win on the day.  They had a good race between them and shuffled positions for most of the race.  Brian also had some good racing.  He rode in a group with Chuck Woodford and Nathan Kanney in the sixth through eighth spots.  At the end of the race Jason Raines was in the lead being chased down by Rodney Smith who then hit a log in the mud and crashed letting Barry Hawk through to second.  Rodney recovered for third ahead of Scott Summers, Fred Andrews, Nathan Kanney, Chuck Woodford, Brian, Cole Calkins, and Randy Hawkins.
