Prairie City Hare Scramble The District 36 Hare Scrambles started out the 2003 season with a great turnout at the Prairie City OHV Park and to boot the conditions were absolutely perfect. Brian was racing the 450 KTM and had plenty of competition from the regular D-36 crew. Brian didn't get a very good start and had to work his way through the pack. Brian Spearle was out front with the # 1 plate, showing everyone how he earned it. Spearle was followed by Zimmerman, Bryce Olsen and Craig Wesner. Brian worked his way through the pack and caught up to Zimmerman in second. He had a good challenge from Robbie and even had a hard crash trying to get around him, but got back up got by Robbie, then set his sights on Spearle. Spearle was riding hard and didn't want to give up the lead. It took Brian a lap to find a place to pass Spearle but he finally got around him and opened up a small lead to take the first win in the season. |
