Pennsylvania GNCC

The course at Brownsville looked like lots of fun when we walked the course the day before the race.  There was lots of grass track sections, a little moto section, and the usual GNCC woods.  For our race it rained some overnight and we found out it was going to be super slick by the time we got the van parked before the race.  The pro pits were down in a hole and the box vans had to be pulled down the hill to get to a parking spot.  We decided to pit up on top of the hill and stay out of the mud.  Brian got a good start and was running up about fifth place for most of the first lap.  At the end of the first lap Brian fell in a slick corner and dropped back to about tenth where I was at.  We hooked up for the next couple of laps along with Jason Raines and Randy Hawkins and had a good battle going.  We were riding well and both looking for a top ten finish when it started to rain.  This wasn't just a little sprinkle it was a hard rain.  I fell so many times I lost count.  It was hard to ride let alone going fast.  Brian dropped back to thirteenth and I ended up in sixteenth at the finish.
