Ohio GNCC

The GNCC series has hit its heartland with its next races all taking place near home base in Morgantown, WV.  This area is mostly rolling hills with clay soil and some rocks and lots of tree roots thrown in to keep things interesting.  This course was fairly fast and easy.  Brian got a decent start and was running about seventh on the first lap.  There was a fire road that they were turning off of and Brian had to wait for a bunch of riders to go up the trail off the fire road when he saw Steve Hatch pop though the dust with his head down in full attack mode.  Steve didn't have a chance to even let off and t-boned Brian wide open.  Luckily Brian was just shaken up and nothing was wrong with the bike or body.  He got going again but was now in the back of the pack.  Brian rode hard for the rest of the race but wasn't able to move up the stack field and was stuck with 13th place.  He was happy with the way he rode and is expecting some more good results in the rest of the GNCC series.   Fred Andrews was on the gas and took his hometown GNCC win.  Mike Kiedrowski just about has the woods thing figured out and finished another strong second in the GNCC series.  Series points leader found his way to the podium once again.  Jason had a good early lead when his drink system broke which put him into a more conservative strategy.  Raines had a good battle going with Lafferty but Lafferty ended up sticking his bike in the mud and was lucky to get another fourth.  Barry Hawk rounded out the top five ahead of Chuck Woodford, Doug Blackwell, Rodney Smith, Randy Hawkins, and Jimmy Jarrett.
