Iowa WORCS With this being the first time there has been a big time race in Iowa no one really knew what to expect going into the race. What they ended up with was a really good track. The track had a good mixture of moto, single track woods, and grass track sections. Jimmy Jarrett took yet another holeshot ahead of Ty Davis and Shane Watts. Brian was right on their heels. Watts made his was to the lead about the same time Ty had a little problem with his bike that would make him come in and make repairs at the conclusion of the first lap. Brian made it up to third behind Watts, who was trying to disappear and Jimmy Jarrett. At the pit Brian didn't have his usual dry brake system since he was riding the Funmart KTM 525. The pit dropped him back behind Steve Levian and Kyle Nelson. Brian used the big four stroke to make the pass on the two ahead of him but Ty had caught back up and was putting pressure on Brian. Both Brian and Ty got by Jimmy on the last lap and almost caught Watts who had a problem getting around some lappers on the last lap. At the finish Watts took his second WORCS race win in a row, followed by Brian, Ty, Jarrett, and Levian. |
