Alligator Enduro

Brian couldn’t get his parts so he wouldn’t be able to race the Alligator.  I had a little trouble getting signed up because there is only a 500 rider limit and I didn’t pre enter.  I ended up on minute 10 with Matt Stavish.  This race was pretty easy to time keep because there was a bunch of restarts.  It had been dry this year in Florida so the famous bogs weren’t there this year.  I was also disappointed that I didn’t even see an alligator during the whole race or even my whole trip to Florida for that matter.  I ended up riding really good in the open stuff, trail that were strait with a bunch of deep sandy whoops in them, but I still need to pick up my pace in the really tight trees.  I don’t yet understand how to go very fast without bouncing off trees, so I tend to ride without making mistakes and try to be consistent.  I had a problem with my rear brake bolt falling out and having to ride ten test miles without the rear brake.  All in all I had a good time riding with Matt and ended up tenth.  I have to give a big thanks to our back east Works Enduro Rider pit crew of Milt, Doug, Lindsay, and Jimmy who are always a tremendous help.
